BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — Tradition, meals, and enjoyable. That’s what dozens of individuals present in Bluefield on Sept. 18.

Saint Mary’s Orthodox Church in Bluefield held an Worldwide Meals Competition yearly as a fundraiser. This 12 months is not any completely different, providing meals impressed from Hungary, Greece, Slavic nations, and naturally some conventional American meals.

Father Michael Foster with Saint Mary’s stated whereas the competition brings in income, it’s all about exhibiting Southern West Virginia completely different cultures that make up America.

“We now have individuals from throughout, so many alternative locations within the nation and the world so it’s simply an opportunity to share that with Southern West Virginia,” stated Foster.

Foster stated the Orthodox Church has so many differing types everywhere in the world and that is one other option to showcase the range the church brings.
