Two Drew College College students Named Rising Stars by N.J. Enterprise & Business Affiliation

Chekwube Okunowo C’24 and Kareena Salvi C’23 acknowledged for his or her ardour, dedication

September 2022 – Two Drew College college students have gained Rising Star Awards from the New Jersey Enterprise & Business Affiliation (NJBIA).

Chekwube Okunowo C’24 and Kareena Salvi C’23 had been two of the 5 faculty college students chosen by the NJBIA for having “demonstrated a ardour for his or her profession path, tutorial success, and a dedication to volunteering of their communities throughout their undergraduate careers,” per NJBIA.

The scholars had been honored in particular person earlier this month on the eighth Annual New Jersey Girls Enterprise Leaders Discussion board in Atlantic Metropolis.

Salvi plans to pursue a masters and PhD in political science, specializing in racial politics within the U.S. Afterward, she hopes to work for an NGO or a civil/human rights advocacy group just like that of the Sikh Coalition.
