DAVIS (CBS13) — Greater than a 12 months after an emergency pandemic ordinance allowed eating places to dam off a downtown Davis avenue to permit for out of doors eating, some neighboring retailers now say the closure is costing them enterprise.

What’s been good for the eating places has not helped all their retail neighbors.

Max Williams is a barber who says foot visitors and automobile visitors are down for him, and parking can be an issue.

A couple of doorways down on the Artery, artist Jen Norpchen says her enterprise is down, too. She blames the barricade.

The Vault Skate Store on the identical block says the closure elevated their enterprise.
