The Workplace of Worldwide Packages is providing a number of non-credit Chinese language language and tradition programs this fall. All programs are free and will likely be taught by Taiwanese visiting scholar, Ms. Ssu-Yu Chang. contributors don’t want any earlier expertise talking or writing in Mandarin to register. Registration is open and obtainable to all Auburn College college, employees and college students. Area is restricted per course, so e-mail Ellie Lee to register now.

The Chinese language language and tradition programs are an end result of the joint settlement signed on Sept. 1 between Auburn, the Nationwide Cheng Kung College, or NCKU, in Taiwan and the Taipei Financial and Cultural Workplace in Atlanta. The purpose of the settlement is to advertise joint academic and cultural collaboration, and in flip set up a long-lasting friendship and cooperative partnership that enhances the tutorial expertise at Auburn and NCKU.
Andrew Gillespie, assistant provost for worldwide applications, had this to say in regards to the settlement, “That is one in every of our partnerships that can tackle the targets of our College Strategic Plan and the College Strategic Internationalization Plan, strengthening high-impact educating practices and offering for post-graduation employment for our college students.
