The Sports activities Betting Convention Committee has reached an settlement on laws to legalize sports activities betting in Massachusetts, in response to a tweet early Monday from Home Speaker Ron Mariano.

The laws would permit for wagering on each skilled and collegiate sports activities within the Bay State, in response to Speaker Mariano’s tweet.

The Speaker thanked different lawmakers for “recognizing the unimaginable financial alternative that legalized sports activities betting presents.”

Less than two weeks ago, Speaker Mariano mentioned Home and Senate negotiators had been “far aside” on the laws. One of many main dialogue factors was whether or not or to not permit collegiate sports activities betting along with skilled sports activities.

If signed by Governor Baker, Massachusetts will be part of 30 different states and Washington D.C. in legalizing sports activities betting.
