NILES — David E. Calderone Jr., 71, of Niles, handed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Hospice of The Valley Hospice Home in Poland.
He was born July 9, 1951, in Warren, the son of David E. and Florence Marsico Calderone Sr.
David was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley Excessive College, attended and performed soccer for Millikin College in Decatur, In poor health., for one 12 months and graduated from Youngstown State College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science diploma in enterprise administration.
He was employed as a laborer and foreman at Republic and Taylor Metal from 1970 to 2008, then as a faculty bus driver for the Niles Metropolis College District from 2009 to 2020.
He was a member of Our Girl of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, San Filippo Neri Lodge and The United Metal Staff of America. He loved gardening, wine making, spending time along with his household, going to Nikki’s along with his pals and celebrating all the things Christmas, particularly Christmas Eve with the seven fishes. Dave was additionally an avid sports activities fan cheering on his favourite groups, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees.
His spouse Cheryl Jordan Calderone, whom he married Aug. 13, 1983, died Jan. 3, 2017.
He might be sadly missed by two sons, Christopher Calderone and Michael Calderone, with whom he made his dwelling; a brother, Nicholas Calderone and his spouse, Cheryl, of Pataskala, Ohio; his niece and goddaughter, Gabrielle Gale and her husband, Tyson; and lots of cousins and relations.
He was preceded in loss of life by his dad and mom.
Pals could name 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, on the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Dwelling in Niles, the place the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial might be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Our Girl of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service, on the funeral dwelling.
