The Heinz I. Eulau Award is introduced yearly by the American Political Science Affiliation (APSA) to honor the very best article printed within the APSA journal Views on Politics.

Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni is Professor of Worldwide Relations on the College of Cambridge, the place she is a Fellow of Sidney Sussex School.  Her analysis focuses on worldwide group(s), together with questions of institutional design and alter, worldwide safety, and the rising position of non-state actors in world governance.  Her work has been printed in main worldwide journals together with European Journal of Worldwide Relations, Worldwide Safety, Worldwide Research Quarterly, Journal of European Public Coverage, Views on Politics, and The Evaluate of Worldwide Organizations.  Her current e-book, co-authored with Jason Sharman, Vigilantes Past Borders: NGOs as Enforcers of Worldwide Regulation was printed by Princeton College Press in April 2022.

Reconceptualizing first what constitutes “transnational enforcement,” Eilstrup-Sangiovanni and Sharman then argue that the failure of states to implement worldwide regulation, together with the emergence of latest applied sciences and new authorized treatments have supplied the area for transnational actors’ forceful motion. In-depth case research of environmental safety and anti-corruption present successfully how NGO enforcement has gained higher salience up to now many years.
