Republican nominee for governor Tudor Dixon introduced this week a few of her plans for schooling coverage, surrounding banning sure books from curricula, in addition to altering the way in which the state superintendent is chosen.

Elsewhere within the leadup to the midterms, Republican Secretary of State nominee Kristina Karamo has refused interviews with not solely journalists but additionally with the editorial boards of Michigan’s two greatest newspapers– the Detroit Free Press and the Detroit Information.

On the west aspect of the state, it was reported by CNN this week that John Gibbs, a Republican operating for the MI-03 Congressional seat, as soon as wrote that ladies shouldn’t have been given the fitting to vote.
