Burlington bakery to close after nearly five years in business

A bakery that opened within the Previous North Finish of Burlington practically 5 years in the past introduced that it’s going to shut after enterprise Wednesday.

Knead Bakery, a plant-based bakery and café, began in January 2018 at 294 N. Winooski Ave. Open for breakfast and lunch and run by Rob Blum, the enterprise serves sandwiches and salads utilizing artisanal bread and cultured non-dairy cheeses made with cashews or pine nuts, vegetable oil and spices.

The bakery adopted eating places corresponding to Revolution Kitchen and Pingala Café within the Burlington vegan/vegetarian scene. Pingala this summer time added a second restaurant location, within the New North Finish of Burlington. Additional afield, the Nourish deli and bakery in St. Albans that opened final yr affords plant-based meals.
