PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The service and lodging trade in Washington continues to wrestle throughout the pandemic, with lodging reportedly shedding 62% of its enterprise because the pandemic.

The Washington Hospitality Affiliation stated these sectors misplaced $5.4 billion in comparison with 2019.

“This didn’t influence our complete trade equally, our consuming and ingesting locations really from the restaurant facet took the worst of it, had a 54 % drop in enterprise,” stated Anthony Anton, president of the affiliation.

WHA stated fewer eating places closed in 2021 than throughout the first spherical of enterprise restrictions within the state because of prospects and assist from native and federal aid.
